The Room 101 mural brought our pre-teen room together, transforming a dated, mismatched space into one that feels welcoming and intentional. It helps communicate what we want every young person to know: they are cared for, valued, and have a place in our church community.

For Room 101, I brought together bold lettering, flowing ribbons of color, and the words of Micah 6:8: “Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly.” St. Paul’s ministry colors connect the mural to the surrounding youth spaces, while the deep navy background gives the words room to stand out. Pairing strong graphic lettering with expressive, hand-painted script brings both energy and warmth to the message. My goal was to create a welcoming space that reflects faith, compassion, humility, and belonging—a place where young people feel seen and valued.
